Do You Have Acid Mouth???
Difficulties of AM
What does Acid Mouth look like?

You may have a mild case and be difficult to diagnose or you may look like this unfortunate individual and have a smile that screams out in pain. Unfortunately this problem can be extremely difficult to recognize by simple visual means. The medical and dental communities have neglected this problem for almost 100 years. Recently more interest has been taken about this long neglected problem and we are excited to share the most recent advances and treatments.

Getting back to the question about how Acid Mouth looks, we must warn you it takes many forms. Commonly it is misdiagnosed by well-meaning dentists as bruxism damage, which is wear due to tooth grinding that occurs during sleep. If your dentist is not trained to recognize the difference between damage from bruxism and that which is caused by Acid Mouth you may get the wrong treatment. Even worse, the treatment may cause the problem to cause even MORE DAMAGE!

You may simply be told you are not brushing and flossing enough. Your dentist and hygienist may be doing you a disservice by missing the real reason for your increased level of dental disease. If a dentist with at least 4 years of specialized training has difficulty recognizing the problem, even when using magnification glasses, then what about your medical doctor?

Medical doctors tend to treat symptoms…the problem is many people with Acid Mouth do not complain about pain until things have gotten out of hand. How many times have your doctor and dentist put their brains together to help a patient find the true cause? It just doesn’t happen that often. You may have symptoms so slight that the physician feels it would be over treatment to recommend anything. More than likely your Acid Mouth will go on for years undetected or misdiagnosed.

If the Average Doctor & Dentist Doesn’t Know What To Do…Then What?

If you can find a profession trained in treating Acid Mouth in your area you will have a better chance at getting the correct treatment. If a recognized practitioner is not available then you may need to take the care into your own hands and help educate your health care providers about this harmful and sometimes fatal problem.
